What is a Firewall?
A firewall does what your router does, it controls the connection between your internal network and the internet. Unlike a standard router, a Firewall scans through all traffic and filters out any attacks while keeping log of everything in case you need to investigate something down the line. It will also give you a much wider control over who can do what on your network.

What is a Switch?
A switch allows you to turn one network port into many network ports, they come in many different sizes from 5 ports up to 48 ports. The managed switches we supply allow you to manage everything that is plugged in and stop unauthorised devices from accessing your network. They also allow you to run multiple networks over a single cable, for example, creating a segregated guest Wi-Fi network that visitors can use while giving you the peace of mind that only the authorised users can access your corporate network.
